With effect from 11th November 2009 UKET Limited entered into an exclusive sales agreement with the key manufacturer of the UltraDisk® range of voice recorders.
Information for Ebay Sellers of unbranded imported version.
Dear Ebay Seller
We are writing to you to inform you that the Digital Voice recorder products you have listed on ebay.co.uk are in breach of an exclusivity supply agreement between UKET Limited and the manufacturer of the product.
UKET Limited is the trademarked registered owner of the UltraDisk® brand of Digital Voice recorders and are pleased to announce that after a number of years working closely with the manufacturer, we have been authorised to act as sole distribution agent in the UK for the sale of this range of digital voice recorders on eBay UK.
The agreement between the manufacturer and UKET Limited is in place to ensure that we can accuratley measure the market and continue to build the brand and product range for retail supply into the United Kingdom. No wholesale / un-authorised retailer is permitted to sell the unbranded version into the UK market directly or indirectly via eBay UK.
We have been in communication with eBay VERO programme regarding the identification of sellers and item numbers that we identify as being in breach of our agreement. We appreciate that your supplier / wholesaler may not have made you aware of this at the time of your purchase. If you have purchased your items from a wholesaler, we would suggest that you contact them without delay for confirmation of this agreement, they will be able to confirm this with you. If they are not prepared to do this, please contact us directly and we will discuss this with you further.
The outline of our agreement is that no unbranded item should be unlawfully sold on ebay UK and be in breach of our agreement. It is in the interest of the manufacturer and the UltraDisk® brand that we continue to centrally control the importation of this product into the UK.
If you have imported items that we identify as unlawful importations we ask you to remove these for sale from eBay.co.co.uk without futher delay to avoid any legal action being taken.

What should you do next?
1 - Remove listings that are of the unbranded version of the UltraDisk range for sale into the UK / NI other eBay sites are excluded from this agreement.
2 - Contact your supplier as they should have informed you of this existing agreement
3 - Apply to become an UltraDisk UK authorised reseller if you wish to sell the range of voice recorders on eBay UK.
