Please check if there is something wrong with the USB cable, use a spare if you have one. Check it is fully inserted into the voice recorder and that USB appears on the voice recorder screen.
If you are on an old Operating system please check that the OS USB driver has been installed properly.
Try on a different pc/laptop and ensure that a USB 2. connection is used..
